Salary: $246,500 - 290,000 per year Requirements:

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, especially within large-scale distributed systems.
• Profound knowledge in payments or traditional finance.
• Proven track record in designing and constructing high-throughput, low-latency financial systems capable of managing $500M in monthly processing volumes.
• Strong grasp of funds flow, reconciliation, and system invariants.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex initiatives across multiple organizations and driving architectural unity.
• Exemplary mentoring abilities, with a dedication to enhancing the skills of teammates.
• Experience with consumer products that emphasize strong design and user experience.

Responsibilities:

• I will define and propel the technical vision and strategy for Financial Services & Loyalty (FS&L), ensuring our systems achieve high throughput, minimal latency, and scalability.
• I will architect and develop mission-critical financial systems, focusing on aspects like funds flow, reconciliation, and maintaining system stability.
• I will enhance developer efficiency by advocating for new tools (such as Go, Temporal, K8, MongoDB) and facilitating the adoption of AI technologies.
• I will mentor and guide team members to cultivate their growth and technical expertise.
• I will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leaders to align on long-term engineering and product strategies.
• I will lead the development of reusable platforms to be utilized across Coinbase.
