Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the quality assurance function within a- cabinetry manufacturing environment, with a primary focus on finishing processes. This position ensures that all products meet internal and industry quality standards through effective inspection processes, root cause analysis, process improvements, and team leadership. The Quality Manager plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations and certifications.
Responsibilities
-Collaborate with production and operations teams to implement best practices for quality control, driving process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
-Oversee documentation and recordkeeping of inspections, non-conformances, corrective actions, and audit results to ensure traceability and compliance.
-Utilize quality management systems (QMS) and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
-Conduct and lead internal quality audits and support external audits to maintain or obtain quality certifications such as ISO standards.
-Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry regulations.
-Monitor performance metrics and report on key quality indicators to senior leadership.
-Provide training and guidance to the quality team.
Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business/Quality Management preferred.
-5 7 years of experience in a quality control or quality management role, specifically in a cabinetry or related manufacturing environment.
-In-depth understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and process controls related to wood finishing and cabinetry.
-Experience working with QMS platforms and familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant certifications.
