Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We do a wide variety of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and DOT work, power plants, dams and reservoirs, underground utilities, and more. **GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY** The Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the planning, design, and execution of construction and industrial services projects. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of AIS Infrastructure's infrastructure projects. The Project Engineer must possess a strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management. They are also required to adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols. **MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** + Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule. + Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and assessments to evaluate project requirements and constraints. + Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings. + Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project requirements are met. + Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. + Work closely with quality control manager to ensure strict guidelines are adhered to. **EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES** + Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases. + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field highly preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects. + Knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management. + Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software. + Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations. + Proficiency in construction project management. + Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices. + Ability to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. + Ability to track submittals and complete RFIs, REAs, CORs, and CTCs. + Experience with quality control tasks on a heavy civil construction site.
