Job Summary As a Parts Clerk, you will help the maintenance team by locating parts that are used in the daily operation of the plant and will also to perform administrative tasks helping ensure the smooth operation of the parts department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Receive, store, and issue parts and other items from stockroom, to fill shelves, racks and tables.
- Utilize CMMS system for parts organization, inventory and tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of parts replaced, inventory, and parts on order
- Communicate with technicians to identify necessary parts and equipment
- Manage parts inventory and reorder parts as needed
- Inspect delivered parts and compare with invoices to ensure correctness of order
- Work with parts suppliers to get quotes and place orders
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the parts storage area
- Coordinate with shipping companies to manage deliveries and returns
- Perform data entry and administrative duties such as filing and managing paperwork
Food Safety Responsibilities - Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and FSQA team to ensure parts critical to production are in stock
- Accurately document the issuing and retiring of parts, to minimize risk of foreign material contamination in production
- Promptly communicate with Ops leadership about any issues with parts critical to production, e.g. if parts fail inspection at receiving
- Clearly reflect food safety and quality as part of the JP brand, when interacting with suppliers
- Adhere to systemwide GMPs, as required for all JP personnel.
Minimum Qualifications - Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Previous experience organizing and tracking inventory in an electronic system
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and differentiate between various mechanical/equipment components/parts
- HS Diploma
- Experience in fast paced & dynamic work environments
Expected Pay Range Pay Range: $22-25/hr
