Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description Join our team as a Lab Technician, where you will play a vital role in sample preparation and support the chemist with various tasks including titrations, liquid extractions, and weight difference analysis. Responsibilities + Prepare and process samples for testing. + Support the chemist in daily operations. + Conduct titrations and liquid extractions. + Analyze weight differences in various samples. Essential Skills + Experience in a production environment. + Strong decision-making skills. + Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). + Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. + Experience in laboratory and chemistry work. + Experience in sample preparation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Undergraduate coursework in chemistry, biochemistry, or organic chemistry. + Proven ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + 1+ years of experience in a lab setting is a plus. Work Environment Work in the pesticides department in a dynamic team setting. The role offers an opportunity to develop into a high-level scientist or technologist. Gain experience with new instrumentation and methods. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with an eight-hour shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NEW ORLEANS, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
